Rock outcrop on the trail leading to the top of Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park, CA.

A rock outcrop which curiously resembles the profile of a beast or monster. An eastern view of the Sierra Nevada mountain range or "Great Western Divide" can be seen in the distance. This photograph dated September 08, 2006 was taken by Jim Epler during the fall in Sequoia National Park, CA on the way down from the top of Moro Rock. It is cataloged under the terms nature and landscapes & vistas in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Fuji Velvia 50 color slide film stock using a Canon EOS Rebel v300 (Ti) camera with a Canon 17-40mm f/4 L lens stopped to f/8.0 and exposed at a speed of 1/125th of a second.

Additionally, Jim thought of search phrases (i.e. terms) that a person who is actively seeking pictures on the Internet related to this particular topic might employ when performing his or her exploration including the words rock, great western divide, moro rock, sierra nevada, stone, giant forest, sequoia national park, kaweah range and boulder, so he included these on this details page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this royalty free photograph!
