A ship narrowly passes under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco Bay.

A view of a cargo liner passing under the Golden Gate Bridge. The SF skyline can be seen in the distance. This photograph captured in December, 2004 was taken by Jim Epler during the Christmas Season in San Francisco, CA from the north vista (Marin Side) point. It is cataloged under the terms cities, architecture, landscapes & vistas, landmarks, transportation, coastal views and streets & bridges in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak GOLD 200 color film stock using a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic II camera with a Asahi Pentax 135mm f/3.5 lens.

Photographer Comments: I'm sure the vessel made it under the bridge with plenty of room to spare, but from this particular angle it looked like a close call!!

Additionally, Jim thought of search phrases (i.e. terms) that a person who is actively seeking pictures on the Internet related to this particular topic might employ when performing his or her exploration including the words San Francisco, liner, Bay, cargo, ship, north vista point, marin, boat and Golden Gate Bridge, so he included these on this details page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this royalty free photograph!
