The image was exposed on 35mm Fuji Velvia 50 color slide film stock using a Canon EOS Rebel v300 (Ti) camera with a Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens stopped to f/13 and exposed at a speed of 1/15th of a second.
Photographer Comments: I got up pretty early in the morning to capture this shot! We were staying on the Valley floor and I had no idea it would take me over an hour to drive to Glacier Point. I actually arrived there much later than I planned, but quickly set up my tripod and snapped this picture as the sun was rising in the East. The next shot I took was not usable because the light was too high on the horizon and considerable threw lens flare. Thus, I feel fortunate that I was able to capture this moment before it was gone forever.
