Washington monuments at night as seen from the Iwo Jima memorial park.

Photograph of the Lincoln and Washington monuments and the US Capital facing east from a hill near Arlington Cemetery. This photograph captured in October, 1999 was taken by Jim Epler during the fall in Washington, DC at the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima). It is cataloged under the terms cities, architecture, landmarks and night scenes in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak Tri-X 400 black & white film stock using a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic II camera with a Asahi Pentax 135mm f/2.5 lens.

Photographer Comments: This picture of the monuments and skyline of Washington D.C. was taken at night at the USMC War Memorial near Arlington Cemetary in Rossyln, VA on a hill overlooking the George Washington Parkway.

Additionally, Jim thought of search phrases (i.e. terms) that a person who is actively seeking pictures on the Internet related to this particular topic might employ when performing his or her exploration including the words US Capital, DC skyline, United States, tn_capital_traffic.jpg, Washington D.C., monuments, Iwo Jima, tn_capital_traffic, tn_capital, George Washington Parkway, US Capitol, night, memorial, monuments and Lincoln monument, so he included these on this details page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this royalty free photograph!
